OUR beliefs

What We Believe

Our beliefs keep us grounded and focused on our mission. We hold fast to three core beliefs. The first is the true confession—Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9). We believe Jesus is God’s Son sent to bring salvation to a world lost in sin. We believe that Jesus is fully man and fully God and that Jesus is the only way we can have a right relationship with God. Jesus died for our sins and in our place. He was buried for three days. And on the third day, Jesus was physically raised from the dead. He is now seated at the right hand of the Father, in heaven, and will one day come back to earth again to make all things new.

The second core belief is our commitment to sound doctrine revealed in Scripture. We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God. The Bible was inspired by God, meaning it was written by humans guided by the Holy Spirit. Further, the Bible is inerrant. It is wholly true without any mixture of error. The Bible is also infallible. It is historically accurate and completely reliable. We believe the Bible is a special revelation of God, who has made Himself knowable. As such, we want to hold fast to sound doctrine revealed in God’s Word. *

The third core belief is our commitment to the local church. We believe God wants to display His global glory through the local church. This truth is why it is essential for the church to gather. As we gather, we have an opportunity to show our community something special. Each week we have people of different races, ethnicities,  social statuses, and backgrounds coming together in unison to worship and make much of Jesus. He is the common thread that brings us together. As we come together locally, we can display what God will one day do globally—every race, tribe, and tongue will gather around the throne of Jesus and worship Him as King.
